 | Weston CRE Weston Coastguard is a Coastguard Rescue Team (CRT) with 12 Coastguard Rescue Officers (CRO's), who are all volunteers, coming from a variety of backgrounds, and are on standby to respond to any coastal emergency. We are equipped to carry out coastal searches, cliff rescues, mud rescues and coordination of incidents.Her Majesty's Coastguard is responsible for the initiation and co-ordination of civil maritime search and rescue with in the United Kingdom Search and Rescue Region. This includes mobilization, organisation and tasking of adequate resources to respond to persons in distress at sea, or to persons at risk of injury or death on the cliffs or shoreline of the United Kingdom.
